Hera Ford is a multimedia artist, textile designer and dancer from Gary, Indiana. She’s a 2020 Textiles Graduate of Rhode Island School of Design (RISD). Her work is influenced by her relationship to the Black American South, her ancestral land and heirloom dances of Black Americans and the African Diaspora. In 2022, she debuted her interior design capsule collection with F. Schumacher & Co., which can be found in showrooms worldwide including New York, Paris, and London. Hera's work has been featured in the New York Times, Architectural Digest, Modern Luxury Interiors and on the cover of the design quarterly, Frederic Magazine. Hera's work was also recently acquired by the RISD Museum for their Costume & Textiles permanent collection.
